Tinius Olsen Universal Testing Machine is equipped with three different range load cells: 100, 1,000 and 10,000 lbs. capacity. Testing can be performed at a variable speed from 0 to 20 in./min.

  The equipment is used for:
  •tensile strength and/or elongation determination of steel or plastic 
   materials
  •compression testing on packaging
  •seal strength determination on entire packaging or 1" wide samples
  •edge crush testing

Mullen Burst Tester is an electrically driven machine that exerts hydraulic pressure on a rubber diaphragm. It is used to determine the burst strength of paper, corrugated and solid fiberboard materials. General Electric Puncture Tester is used to determine the ability of a material (wood, corrugated, paper, metal or plastic) to resist puncture.

  We also perform:
  • material analysis on corrugated fiberboard
  • water vapor transmission determination on flexible, heat sealed   
    packaging (according to ASTM D 3079 Method)
